⭐️ PLEASE SEND ME PHOTOS BEFORE YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER ⭐️ Portraits normally take 8-10 weeks for completion from the date we decide on an image, and I don't start painting until we've confirmed reference photos. Photos are an IMPORTANT & NECESSARY part of the process.
At least one of the photos needs to be of your pet in the exact position you'd like them painted in. That photo will be the basis of my composition, but I prefer to work from a variety of images and a description of your pet's personality, so that I can do my best to get to know them from as many angles as possible. :) The better the lighting and detail, the more accurate your portrait will be!
Photorealistic in quality and expressive in style, my portraits capture the distinctive personalities of the amazing animals I encounter.
1. Let me know you'd like a portrait
2. Send me pictures, confirm the primary composition photo & specify any special requests (number & colour of tentacles, etc)
3. Purchase your portrait
4. I draw out the composition in pencil (image confirmation emailed upon request)
5. I paint the rest of the portrait (image confirmation emailed)
6. You confirm your portrait & request any minor adjustments
7. I make any adjustments, email you the final scan, mat it, pack it & send it your way!
You will receive:
⭐️ The original watercolour + custom cut mat
⭐️ Hi res scan so you can make your own prints (for personal & gift purposes, not for resale)
⭐️ Web file with my watermark (I ask that any images shared online include my watermark)
⭐️ The exclusive rights to your pet's image. I reserve the right to include any portraits I paint in my portfolio, but I will not reprint your portrait for resale without your consent.
I can often complete your portrait earlier than the scheduled shipping date, but my weekly studio time varies depending on my current art exhibit & convention commitments. ***Please let me know in advance if you need your portrait by a certain date, and I will do my very best to work within your time frame.***
Shipping:
Portraits are shipped matted, flat & unframed via USPS Priority Mail with insurance. I'm happy to arrange a local pick-up if you're in the Seattle area.
